Timeless children’s guest bedroom ideas for cheshire interior

Introduction

Preview our recently installed Interior Design project. We take a look at some of the stunning details we created for one of our amazing clients. Their aspiration for the project was to provide a total refresh to their existing space. That includes neutral finishes, fitted wardrobes, bespoke soft furnishings and an accessories package. The space was to be used by the client’s grandchildren and guests occasionally. Whilst providing useful everyday storage for the client too.

FITTED WARDROBES

We design and install fitted wardrobes for our clients. For this space, sliding doors work particularly well due to the size and layout of the room. The neutral colour scheme from the externals and internals are the perfect match for the clients brief and desired look. Inside the wardrobes there are hanging rails for clothes, which of course is to be expected. Another interesting element within the wardrobes are the additional internal drawers and a hidden television, as requested by the client. Hiding televisions is something we really recommend. When a television isn’t hidden it can easily become a focal point to a room. We suggest creating focal points in other ways, such as; statement furniture, artwork, lighting and accessories.

CHILDREN’S furniture & accessories

Whilst we wanted to create a timeless room for our client and family, introducing some children’s furniture items was important to introducing some fun elements for the clients grandchildren so they feel at home and can begin to make their own. This included things like furniture, soft toys and wooden toys.

CHILDREN’S TABLE & CHAIRS

Lots of the room had straight lines, there is a large a corner of the room with a space suitable to break this by softening with curves. The curves of the rug, table and chairs gave some softness and organic shapes, helping to create interest, fun and a place to play and drawer within the children’s room.

desk & dressing table

Whilst the small table and chairs as seen just before, provides an immediate space for the children to use and enjoy whilst they’re young. Providing a desk area which offes additional storage and a slightly more grown up spot for drawing for later years and a dressing area too for guests. We supplied this alongside the wardrobes so that the look and feel felt cohesive to the space. The addition of oak meant that there was some added with and depth.

bedside wall lights & table

We opted for simplicity and optimal floor space and sourced wall mounted bedside tables. Having this added space keeps the room easy to clean and navigate round whilst playing. The organic shape adds added interest and the white colour ties in perfectly with the wall lights too.

END OF BED STORAGE & PENDant light

Storage was a priority within the project brief, having a bespoke made storage ottoman in a custom fabric was a beautiful addition to the end of the bed. Introducing an amazingly comfortable seating option, whilst optimising the large room.

The pendant light struck the right balance of introducing a fun element for the children, whilst being a piece which works well as a more interesting grown up piece too, therefore no need to update this in a few years to come.
