Designing with nature in mind

As we continue with our interior design projects, we really wanted to take a moment to explain why and how we are continually designing with nature in mind. Many of our Clients are nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Cheshire. Having spent many years living in Cheshire, we often take inspiration from the outdoors and inject this fresh inspiration into our design projects, considering biophilic design within our schemes. In this blog post, we will explore the captivating world of biophilic design, offering insights and ideas that celebrate the beauty of nature in your interipr.

Nature as the Focal Point

Incorporate the captivating beauty of nature as the focal point of your design. Large windows or floor-to-ceiling glass doors helping to provide views of the surrounding countryside, bringing the outdoor scenery indoors and enhancing the sense of connection. Harnessing natural light into the interior. Maximise window openings and skylights to allow sunlight to bathe your spaces, promoting well-being. Make use of mirrors or reflective surfaces to amplify natural light and create an illusion of spaciousness.

We had the pleasure of recently partnering with a local glazing company, Bespoke Frames of Cheshire, who have an extensive range of doors and windows, you are bound to find something suitable for your space.

Bringing the outdoors in

Introduce greenery into your interiors with potted plants. The vibrant foliage not only adds a touch of natural beauty but also purifies the air, enhances indoor air quality, and contributes to a healthier living environment.

Materials and Textures

Incorporate natural organic materials and textures inspired by the surrounding countryside. Utilising reclaimed wood and natural stone to infuse your spaces with warmth, authenticity, and a rustic charm that complements the Cheshire countryside.

Natural Colors and Palettes

Draw inspiration from the natural hues of Cheshire’s countryside to create a soothing color palette. Earthy tones, such as warm taupes, soft greens and blush, can evoke a sense of tranquility and serenity.
