CHOOSING A LOCAL INTERIOR DESIGNER IN CHESHIRE
If you’re planning to transform your home choosing a local interior designer can make all the difference. At Chloe Boyd & Co, we specialise in creating interiors that are both timeless and tailored, and our roots in Cheshire are at the heart of everything we do. Here’s why working with a local designer like myself offers so much more than just beautiful spaces.
By Chloe Boyd, Director of Chloe Boyd & Co
1. OUR UnderstandING OF Cheshire
From elegant Victorian villas in Wilmslow to modern countryside retreats in Tarporley, no two Cheshire homes are ever the same, I love the difference in properties and with a variety of different clients with unique tastes, its usually very different project to project. We have an instinctive understanding of the architecture, the light, the history, and how people live in this part of the world. This local insight allows us to design homes that feel both deeply personal and effortlessly in tune with their surroundings.
2. A Curated Network of Local Craftspeople and Suppliers
Over the years, I’ve built close relationships with some of the UK’s and Cheshires most talented trades and independent makers. Whether we’re commissioning bespoke cabinetry, sourcing antique mirrors, or collaborating with lighting specialists, you benefit from our trusted network that ensures both quality and reliability. Supporting local doesn’t just feel good, it often leads to better outcomes and shorter lead times too.
3. We’re Here In PersoN
Interior Design is a collaborative and often an in depth process. Being based right here in Cheshire means I can visit your home, get a true sense of how you live, and make decisions with you, side by side. Whether we’re reviewing samples in your space, overseeing an installation, or popping by for final styling touches, I’m never far away when you need me.
4. Your Lifestyle Is Our Inspiration
At Chloe Boyd & Co, our approach is deeply rooted in the way you live. We know that many of our clients in Cheshire want more than just a stylish space—they want comfort, flow, warmth, and practicality. Whether you’re designing a grown-up lounge to unwind in after the school run or refreshing a kitchen that needs to work hard and look good, we’ll shape it around your life—not just the latest trends.
5. We Know the Local Rules, So You Do NOT Have To
If your project involves planning permission or working with listed buildings (quite common in parts of Cheshire), we can help navigate the process. Having worked closely with Cheshire East and Cheshire West councils, we understand what’s required and how to avoid common pitfalls.
6. Your Home, Rooted in Its Place
I believe a truly beautiful home feels grounded in where it is. Designing in Cheshire means drawing inspiration from its rolling countryside, heritage buildings, and subtle seasonal shifts. It’s not just about style—it’s about how it makes you feel every day. When you choose a designer who lives and works here, you’re creating a home that naturally fits into its environment.
7. A Personal Approach, from Start to Finish
Unlike large design firms, we take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure every client receives our full attention. As a local studio, we’re known not just for our design sensibility—but for the warmth, care, and detail we bring to every home. This isn’t just a job to us! We build relationships with our clients and really care about their homes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Can I have an input in the design process?
We welcome input from our clients during the design process, we cater our design process around our clients aspirations. We welcome feedback throughout all stages of the design process so we can feed in our clients wants throughout. Sometimes our clients are hands off and sometimes they’re hands on, we are flexible and work with a range of different people. Ultimately, we work for you on your behalf and want the best possible outcome for you and your project.
What style would you recommend?
We recommend timeless elegance to all of our projects, so that our clients can experience longevity and comfort within their schemes. The style is formed based on our clients aspirations, the age of the property, the surroundings and our creative flair. Curating all of these elements takes time, but it’s always worth the wait! You can read our 5* reviews so you can see for yourself.
How does your process work?
We have an extensive 16 stage interior design process, so that our clients feel well informed and knowledgeable about their project. Whilst not every stage is visible to our clients and some is behind the scenes, we work extremely hard to make sure you’re completely in the know throughout and you know exactly whats going on before its happened. You can see our process on our Interior Design page, alternatively you can arrange a free call with us and we can show you some past projects so you can see exactly how this works too.
